Battery powered microbotic insect
Norway-born Christopher Conte studied both fine art and human anatomy in New York. His work represents the fusion of sculpture, medical-science, and biomechanics. My favorite is the battery powered microbotic insect made of a recycled pager motor, antique watch parts, and steel music wire.

I did an interview with Christopher Conte recently, check it out:

He actually has a background in prosthetics, which explains his lifelike creations.
